**URGENT** “Max”, lovely older ACD x requires loving retirement home. Southport QLD

We got max hoping to give him his forever home, however due to ill health and accommodation issues, I am hoping to find him a new home as soon as possible.  He’s a great dog. He has no faults besides pulling on the lead, but we have walked him with a little sausage dog and it’s been fine.  He’s obedient and can be let off lead without any concern, he will not usually interact with other dogs because he is ball obsessed!  Yes, he loves to play ball and will play all day, which will make his legs sore, so you have to limit the ball throws.  You can be at the beach and he wont look at other dogs or people if you’re throwing the ball.  He loves car rides.  Tolerates cats and children.  His best friend is a little sausage dog my daughter has.  He hates the shower but will go in for a wash.  He has been fed dog roll and dog biscuits.  He had a lot of dental work done and has a lot of missing teeth, but can still eat well.  He has lived with 3 cats.  Max has been around a baby who is now 5.  Max is a great guard dog who will bark to let you know someone’s at the front door.  He has a cloth kennel he has in the garage, pillow in the lounge and a bed on the balcony.  He comes in and out the house as he pleases and sometimes goes to the kennel in the garage to get some peace and quiet.  He sleeps on his pillow at night in the lounge.  He’s getting older now and deserves a good retirement.  He’s frequently given flea and worm treatment, the last treatments used were Bravecto and Frontline.  When I got him from the animal shelter, I was told he had been rehomed a few times.  I know someone who had him in the past must’ve loved him a lot, because he is a very companionable dog.  He really has no faults and we have had a few dogs in the past.  He needs to be an inside dog he’s house trained and has never made a mess in the house.  He doesn’t chew on things, but he does like a pig ear to chew on.  He doesn’t like his nails being cut but he will let you and doesn’t get aggressive, just scared.  He shakes.  He always has when it comes to nails being cut and having to have a shower.   I don’t know why, maybe something happened in the past but I have just made him shower and cut his nails and rewarded him after to try reset his mind.  He likes his own space, but also likes to know what’s going on.
