Behaviour Profile
Around people and children: Lives with a 7- and 4-year-old, has never been aggressive toward any family members, is extremely friendly and loving. Can become over-excited and jumps on people. He loves to play, is very cuddly, and loves to be around people.
Around other dogs: Can be shy around other dogs, sometimes growls and barks when walking past other dogs on the lead. Can sometimes engage positively with dogs when off the lead if he does not feel threatened.
Behavioural concerns: Has not been properly socialised with other dogs. He is not aggressive by nature but has not been around other dogs enough to be fully comfortable. At his current home he lives outside in a small backyard while family members are at work. This has caused some frustration and boredom.
Training: Has completed two 6-week cattle dog training courses, and multiple months of obedience school. Can follow basic commands such as sit, wait, drop. His only issue is jumping as he gets over excited.
