ACDR is accepting expressions of interest for Zack. He is an absolutely stunning dog, but requires a very specific handler and home.
- Zack was found in critical condition in Sydney. Fortunately for Zack, he was taken to SASH where he was treated for 21 days before they contacted ACDR for assistance.
- Zack is a Pedigree Dog and an Australian Show Champion, however, his breeder declined to collect him from SASH and to provide his papers to ACDR.
- Zack just turned 6 in June. He is desexed, microchipped & vaccinated.
- Zack is smart and trainable. He learns new behaviours quickly with positive methods.
- He is super loyal, affectionate and very protective of ‘his’ person and home.
- He is OK with some other dogs, but not dominant ones or entire males.
- We were told he is not good with cats, but have not tested him with them yet.
- He requires 6ft secure fencing as would chase wildlife and stock. He is much better with my horses now though and comes back when called.
- Zack has awesome potential in the right hands and with someone committed to continuing his training.
- Zack is used to female trainers and handlers, but a gentle male handler would be OK.
If I could offer him more time and training, he would be staying here with me, but I have to put his needs above my wants – a heartbreaking decision.
