Tommy is a heeler x kelpie mix. He is 2 years old. He is a very energetic and sweet. He loves people and is great with kids. Tommy would make a wonderful working dog or family companion. His favorite thing in the world is to play fetch, he even prefers it to treats. Tommy thinks he is a lap dog and loves a good cuddle at the end of the day. He knows all his basic commands such as sit, stay, lay down, and will even shake your hand. He is eager to please and intelligent so could probably be trained to do much more. Tommy is also microchipped.
Tommy is not desexed but will be prior to rehoming. He is does not do well with other dogs, especially males. Tommy hates birds and will bark or chase them (unsure how he would do around chickens). Tommy is not the best on a lead, but does have some training in regards to that and is getting better. Tommy is also very talkative and loves to bark.
Tommy would suit someone with a large property for him to roam on. He loves exploring and has a lot of energy. He would not suit the average suburban backyard as he has very high energy demands. If Tommy doesn’t have a good outlet for his energy, he can be destructive.
Tommy would make a great companion or family dog. He really needs someone who is able to give him attention and affection.
I wish I could keep Tommy and I hate to be parted from him but my current circumstances don’t allow for it. He is not being rehomed by any fault for his own. ”
Adoption fee to be negotiated with owner directly to cover the cost of his desexing.
