Fuji – Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog – an 18 month Red gorgeous girl in need of a loving home.
I’m Ron Pia, a foster carer for Working Breed Rehab pet rescue and behaviour trainer for Fuji.
Last July, Fuji came into my care as a homeless dog needing a respite before looking for a forever home.
She is a fun lovin’ gal who loves to run, play at any opportunity, is also social with other dogs (prefers males) and loves to display a happy face for approval when working.
When Fuji was rescued by WBR, she lacked boundaries and structure in her life. Since then she has completed a dedicated 30 day training program with Cathy Gant of Above and Beyond Dog Training and Rehabilitation Qld, to build her confidence and behaviour skills. She thrives on fair but strong leadership while living in a stable environment.
Prior to my care, she was a little timid, lacked confidence in her humans & untrusting in situations that were confusing to her.
She is one smart dog who has demonstrated exceptional learning abilities with a confident instructor.
Fuji enjoys going out for walks, plenty of exercise, sniff exploring with her nose and respond to verbal commands on and off a loose leash. She’s toilet trained, crate trained and attentive to her surroundings.
While under my care, I found Fuji a joy to work, full of personality and we had lots of fun on the beach.
A cracking little girl for the right home.
Fuji needs a well structured home with a calm environment, strong leadership, and patience to further excel her skills. She responds well to positive reinforcement style training and understands basic obedience.
She will be a loyal dog, bond quickly, and offers plenty of spunk under the correct care.
