**ADOPTED** Bluey – sweet deaf 7 month old stumpy tail ACD – DAS Canberra

Bluey is a 7 month old deaf stumpy tail. He is looking for someone with breed experience and experience with deaf dogs.

CONTACT – Karen Swan: 0419 588 558

Bluey is such a special young boy who is super friendly and extremely responsive considering he is deaf nothing seems to phase this young boy. He loves to go out on walks and explore the track with his nose firmly to the ground having a good sniff of everything, all while carrying his own lead and checking in with his owner. While initially he is nervous at meeting new people it doesn’t take him long to warm up and jump all over you trying to initiate a game and give you all the kisses he can. Bluey is looking for a family who has an understanding and has had experience with deaf dogs in the past and can give him the training and continued socialisation that he needs for his future as so far, he doesn’t know anything, but he is eager to please. Bluey comes to us toilet trained and is used to sleeping inside on his bed so he would love for this to continue in his new home so he can be close to the ones he loves. Bluey requires a home with secure fencing and children aged 10 years or older.

You can also apply to adopt a dog by completing the expression of interest form.

The team at Domestic Animal Services carefully reviews every application to ensure each dog is matched to the most suitable family. Suitable applicants will be contacted by phone to book a ‘meet and greet’ prior to adoption.

Please note, as Domestic Animal Services is open for walk-in adoptions, a dog can’t be placed on hold for adoption prior to a ‘meet and greet’ appointment being confirmed.
